Sustainability Efforts at the CHEST Annual Meeting

See what CHEST is doing to reduce our environmental impact at CHEST 2026 in Phoenix.

Cutting single-use plastics

CHEST is providing attendees with reusable water bottles to fill up at the 14 hydration stations located throughout the Phoenix Convention Center. We’ve also worked with the convention center’s catering services to minimize single-use plastic water bottles sold at concessions and used in exhibit booths.

Minimizing paper waste

CHEST has eliminated printed paper tickets for ticketed sessions and will instead scan attendee badges for entry to these sessions. The only remaining printed ticket is for the souvenir T-shirts.

Reducing individual car trips

CHEST is offering a shuttle bus from the convention center to the airport on the last day of the meeting in an effort to cut down on single rideshares or taxis. BOOK YOUR SHUTTLE TICKET »

Encouraging material donations

CHEST has encouraged exhibiting companies to donate any unneeded booth materials (furniture, swag, etc.) at the end of the meeting to the convention center’s donation program for local charities.
