CHEST issues response to the Philip Morris acquisition of Vectura

In response to ongoing discussions on the purchase of Vectura by Philip Morris International, CHEST has issued the following statement:

Following the announcement of Philip Morris International’s (PMI) intent to purchase Vectura, the American College of Chest Physicians^® (CHEST) is looking to PMI to act on their stated goal to move “beyond nicotine" and use their ability and technology to address the harm caused by tobacco products. The best guarantee to making this a reality is to completely divest themselves of tobacco products.
