As a chest medicine trainee, or a specialist transitioning out of training, we strive to provide you with access to personal and professional resources tailored to your career level.

Our goals are to provide each member with the opportunities and resources necessary to become excellent teachers, clinicians, and scholars; to foster active participation and progress in our organization; and to develop exemplary ambassadors of CHEST at local, regional, and national levels.

2025 Early Career Scholarship

Now accepting your applications

The Early Career Scholarship provides three 2025 graduating fellows with access to select CHEST education offerings for one year. The goal of the scholarship is to increase and attract young clinicians to CHEST; introduce them to leadership opportunities within CHEST; and to build a meaningfully diverse pipeline of future members, volunteers, and leaders for the organization.

Accepted applicants will receive a waived registration fee for CHEST Annual Meeting 2025, one year of Enhanced CHEST membership, a mentor, and more.

The Early Career Scholarship is supported by CHEST and generous gifts from our members.

CHEST 2025 Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellows Course

Now accepting nominations

CHEST is offering a full-day, invite-only Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellows Course at CHEST 2025 in Chicago on Saturday, October 18. This simulation- and case-based course provides a valuable opportunity for fellows to gain hands-on training in high-impact areas of pulmonology and critical care medicine. Topics covered include advanced airway rescue, bronchoscopy control of bleeding, mechanical ventilation problem-solving, and more.

Accepted fellows will receive complimentary registration to CHEST 2025, a $400 travel stipend, two nights of hotel accommodations, and breakfast and lunch provided during the course.

CHEST 2025 Travel Grants

Now accepting self-nominations

Nominate yourself for a CHEST 2025 Travel Grant to join thousands of health care professionals and network with leaders in the field in Chicago, October 19 to 22.

Recipients will receive complimentary registration and $1,000 to cover travel costs. They will also be paired with a CHEST leader for a 12-month mentoring program to enhance professional and personal development.
