Where do you work?
UPMC Central Pa in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
What are your research interests?
MedEd, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), severe asthma, and pulmonary embolism.
How did you become interested and involved in CHEST’s Networks?
I was a fellow-in-training with CHEST since my fellowship training years. I enjoyed interacting with CHEST leaders and have been in awe ever since!
Are you involved in any other activities or volunteer positions at CHEST?
I am the Vice-Chair of the Ultrasound and Chest Imaging Section, Steering Committee Member of the Bronchiectasis Section under the Airways Disorders Network, Member of the Training and Transitions Committee, Member of the Ultrasonography Domain Task Force, and Member of the Social Media Work Group.
What clinical research is most interesting to you right now?
Early and longitudinal POCUS in ICU patient management, device therapy in high-risk pulmonary embolism, and medical education via gamification.
What are your hobbies?
Playing the piano, hiking, and reading.
What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
Dark chocolate.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with your Network peers?
CHEST has a lot to offer. I have been involved with CHEST since my intern year of training, and I am amazed at how much I am learning and growing with CHEST. The CHEST community is always welcoming and offering new opportunities for growth. I am happy to help my colleagues in any way I can!
