Where do you work?
Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Houston, Texas.
What are your research interests?
Primary graft dysfunction, ex vivo lung perfusion, and chronic lung allograft dysfunction.
What led you to join your Network?
The Diffuse Lung Disease and Lung Transplant Network addresses issues that are most relevant to my practice in lung transplantation, including research, advocacy, and quality improvement.
What achievements are you most proud of contributing to within your Network?
Webinars on careers in lung transplantation and newsletters on key innovations in lung transplantation.
How has being in a Network benefited your career and your experience as a CHEST member?
The Network has provided valuable connections to leaders in the field of lung transplant. This has led to multiple collaborations benefiting patients with advanced lung disease. I have cherished being a small part of mentoring several rising stars in our field.
What are your hobbies?
Playing music, spending time with my family, and exercising.
What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
Music.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with your Network peers?
Everything that you put into the Network will benefit you, your peers, your patients, and your mentees. This is a very high-yield Network that everyone should consider joining.
