Where do you work?
UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
What are your research interests?
Interstitial lung diseases (ILDs).
What led you to join your Network?
I wanted to connect with fellow ILD specialists around the world. It has been a fruitful experience, being able to discuss our respective programs and work on projects to improve the care of our patients.
What achievements are you most proud of contributing to within your Network?
Helping and collaborating with fellow Network members on their CHEST meeting proposals, and contributing to a statement regarding the preoperative evaluation of patients with ILD.
How has being in a Network benefited your career and your experience as a CHEST member?
Meeting and connecting with other ILD pulmonologists at different academic medical centers have greatly improved my own practice.
What are your hobbies?
Running and reading.
What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
A great cheeseburger and my treadmill (the order of importance is interchangeable).
